Managing midi latency
This function allows the sound made by the TNR to be slightly delayed relative to the MIDI note-on messages.
The MIDI message protocol is fairly slow. If the TNR is being used to drive external synthesizers, and the TNR is also being used to make its own sounds, then the delay in the MIDI messaging standard and the delay of the external synth will lead to the external synth sounding slightly later than the TNR. This is often audible, especially with notes with significant attack.
This new global function delays the start of all sounds on the TNR by a fixed number of milliseconds, so that sounds can be aligned. It can be found under the Perference menu
This function is a property of the layer, and is selected under the layer menu.

This delay is implemented via a buffer; if the TNR is trying to play a very large number of notes quickly, then the buffer may overflow and some notes not sound at all.
This note delay does not apply to note-off messages, nor is it currently applied to echoes.
